　　蘭科（Orchidaceae），作為世界上的大科之一，約800屬超25000種，在2009年出版的Flora of China, Volume 25中提到中國(guó)有194屬1388種，不包含之后發(fā)現(xiàn)的丹霞蘭屬（Danxiaorchis）等。 

　　云南歷有“植物王國(guó)”的稱號(hào)，植物資源相當(dāng)豐富，其中蘭科植物達(dá)到中國(guó)蘭科種類的近1/2。西雙版納地處云南南部，為中國(guó)少有的熱帶雨林，在這片濕熱的土地上，滋潤(rùn)了極其豐富的蘭科植物資源。2014年高江云研究員等出版的《西雙版納的蘭科植物多樣性和保護(hù)》一書中提到西雙版納具有蘭科植物115屬428種，約占中國(guó)種類的1/3。 

　　版納植物園標(biāo)本館科技人員李劍武，長(zhǎng)期重點(diǎn)關(guān)注于蘭科植物的分類學(xué)研究，在近些年的野外考察中，發(fā)現(xiàn)了一些產(chǎn)自西雙版納的中國(guó)蘭科新記錄種。在近期刊出的《植物分類與資源學(xué)報(bào)》上，其發(fā)表了2個(gè)新記錄屬：固唇蘭屬（Plocoglottis）及棲林蘭屬（Drymoda），6個(gè)新記錄種：滇南固唇蘭（Plocoglottis bokorensis）、棲林蘭（Drymoda siamensis）、泰國(guó)牛角蘭（Ceratostylis siamensis）、景洪白蝶蘭（Pecteilis hawkesiana）、三脈貝母蘭（Coelogyne trinervis）及浮萍毛蘭（Eria spirodela）。其中的滇南固唇蘭及景洪白蝶蘭被選為本期的封面照片。相關(guān)文章請(qǐng)查閱：Plant Diversity and Resources. 2015 Vol. 37 (03): 246-252. 

　　文章的發(fā)表，代表著中國(guó)蘭科植物屬增加到198屬（包含丹霞蘭屬Danxiaorchis、怒江蘭屬Gennaria、固唇蘭屬Plocoglottis、棲林蘭屬Drymoda），西雙版納的蘭科也增加到117屬434種。
