　　第52界熱帶生物學(xué)與保護(hù)協(xié)會(huì)2015年年會(huì)（52nd Annual Meeting ATBC 2015）于7月12-16日在美國(guó)夏威夷舉辦，本次會(huì)議的主題是“全球氣候變化背景下的島嶼系統(tǒng)適應(yīng)能力：生物和文化多樣性及其保護(hù)的挑戰(zhàn)（Resilience of Island Systems in the Context of Climate Change: Challenges for Biological and Cultural Diversity and Conservation）”。本次會(huì)議共有27個(gè)專題研討會(huì)和36個(gè)開放論壇。

　　版納植物園8位科研人員參加了此次年會(huì)，綜合保護(hù)中心主任高力行研究員受邀作了題為“Conservation in an Era of Rapid Global Change”的大會(huì)主題報(bào)告，分析了在快速的全球變化背景下生物多樣性保護(hù)面臨的挑戰(zhàn)，給出了應(yīng)對(duì)的建議，報(bào)告獲得了與會(huì)人員的高度贊同；Alice Hughes副研究員作為大會(huì)的主要組織者，組織了會(huì)前的workshop，主持了“Understanding Resilience in Island Ecosystems”和“Translating Ecological Research into Conservation Practice: Managing for Success in Human Dominated Landscapes”的專題研討會(huì)，并分別作了題為“The past, present and future of Island ecosystems”和“The Alpha, Beta, Gamma approach to conservation”的報(bào)告。高江云研究員和美國(guó)佛羅里達(dá)國(guó)際大學(xué)的劉虹教授共同召集和主持了題為“Conservation of over exploited, CITES-listed tropical species: can farming help?”的專題研討會(huì)，并作了題為“Effectiveness of new cultivation model in restoration of wild orchids used as TCM: experiments from the tropical Yunnan, China”的報(bào)告；Kyle Tomlinson研究員作了題為“Defense against vertebrate herbivores: architectural and low nutrient strategies of woody tree species”的報(bào)告；博士研究生夏尚文作了題為“Causality of fine scale soil heterogeneity and its effect on seedling regeneration in a tropical rainforest”的報(bào)告；碩士研究生Jessie Yc Han作了題為“Mycorrhizal Fungi Composition Study as Environmental Factor Reference for Relocating Endangered Paphiopedilum spicerianum in Yunna, China”的報(bào)告。我園參會(huì)人員和來自世界各地的同行進(jìn)行了廣泛交流和討論，展示了我園在熱帶生物學(xué)和生物多樣性保護(hù)領(lǐng)域的研究成果。
